Toussaint, Bush, and Moffe Named To All-Region Teams

After the Jayhawks season came to an end just shy of the Region III Division II Finals, three Jayhawks would receive recognition for their play this season:

#4 Mike Bush (Harlem) was named 3rd Team All Region for his season.  Mike was the point guard of the team, and executed the game plan efficiently.  He finished 12th in the Region for Free Throw Percentage; 6th in the Region for Steals; and was 2nd in the Region for Assists.  His stats for the year included 28 starts; connecting on 43% of his shots (including 38% for three point shots); scoring 346 points; finishing 4th on the team for rebounds with 106; tied for the most steals on the team with 39; and led the Jayhawks in assists with 137.   

#12 Tyler Moffe (Elmira) was also named 3rd Team All Region for his season.  Tyler was excellent with outside shooting and clutch three point shots that would often swing the momentum of a game to the Jayhawks advantage.  He finished 9th in the Region for Steals and 7th in the Region for Three Point Shot Percentage. His stats for the year included 29 starts; connecting on 45% of his shots (including 37% for three point shots); scoring the second most points on the team with 426 points; pulling in 130 rebounds; he had 62 assists; and tied for second on the team with 37 steals. 

#34 Jean Toussaint (Brooklyn) was named 1st Team All Region for his season.  Jean was the force in the middle that was difficult to go around on defense and impossible to stop on offense.  He finished 6th in the Region for Points Per Game; 5th in the Region for Overall Points; 4th in the Region for Shooting Percentage; 2nd in the Region for Blocks; and the NUMBER ONE Player in the Region for Total Rebounds…with 53 more rebounds than the next closest player.  His stats for the year included 28 starts, connecting on 56% of his shots, lead the team in scoring with 466 points; lead the team with 324 rebounds; had 48 assists; and led the team with 49 blocks.  Jean was also named to the Region III, Division II All-Tournament Team. 

Scoreboard
