Four 3 Pointers In Under 3 Minutes Launches Jayhawks Dominant Performance

The JCC Jayhawks men's basketball team (10-5) went on the road to face the Commodores of Lorain County Community College.   The Jayhawks jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead over the Commodores with 5 minutes gone in the first period.  The Commodores cut the lead to 5 points when the Jayhawks long ball took center stage.  4 three point shots were made by #12 Tyler Moffe, #10 Derek Ice (Bronx), #4 Michael Bush (Harlem), and again by Moffe in less than 3 minutes and with 10 minutes left in the first period, it was Jayhawks 23, Commodores 11.  The Commodores kept after the basket and with 5 minutes left to play had reduced the Jayhawks lead to single digits, down 33 to 24 to the Jayhawks.  Then the Jayhawks started to roll and three point shot by #33 Carter Davidson broke the scoring wide open with the first period coming to an end in favor of the Jayhawks 50-28. 

The Jayhawks momentum continued into the second half as the Jayhawks scored 7 unanswered points and after the first five minutes of the second half it was Jayhawks 61, Commodore 32.  The Jayhawks domination continued in the next 5 minutes of play, as the Jayhawks built their lead to 71-38 with 10 minutes left to play.  The next 5 minutes saw the Jayhawks bring in their reserves and they kept chipping away and contused to put points on the board as with 5 minutes left to play in the game it was Jayhawks 78, Commodores 53.  The Jayhawks again dominated the last 5 minutes of play to give them a 89-62 win over the Commodores. 

The Jayhawks were led by #34 Jean Toussaint who had a double double of 21 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 assists; #12 Tyler Moffe had 21 points and 4 rebounds; #10 Derek Ice (Bronx) had 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals; #32 Brandon Kemp (Brooklyn) had 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists; #4 Michael Bush (Harlem) had 7 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals; #23 Allen Romero had 4 points and 3 rebounds; #33 Carter Davidson had 3 points; and #21 Brandon Banna had 4 rebounds.
