Jayhawks Drop Road Contest to CCBC Dundalk

BALTIMORE, Md. - The Jamestown Community College men's basketball team ended their weekend road trip, falling to CCBC Dundalk by a score of 83-50.

 

The Jayhawks (0-6) were led offensively by guard Ethan CLarke-Desouza (Rochester, NY/The School of the Arts), scoring 13 points off the bench. Guard Jafar Yahuza (Staten Island, NY/Port Richmond) added 12 points while forward Keon Armstrong (Chatham, NY/Chatham HS) chipped in with nine points. On the glass, Clarke-Desouza led the way with seven boards (2 offense, 5 defense) while Armstrong and forward Traden Gray (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) had five rebounds each.

 

Starting down 14-3 early in the game, JCC closed the gap to two points thanks to a 13-2 run. During the stretch, the Jayhawks got a pair of buckets from Yahuza and Clarke-Desouza to fuel the run.

 

The Lions found their offense once again in the last five minutes of the first half, taking a 39-21 lead into the break.

 

The Jayhawks went 17-for-57 (29.8 percent) from the field with the Lions going 35-for-75 (46.7 percent) from the floor. Dundalk also held the advantage on the glass, grabbing 49 rebounds to JCC's 31 rebounds.

 

The Jayhawks will wrap up their six-game road trip on Tuesday, November 30th, as they travel to Lorain County Community College for a 7 p.m. tip.
