Jayhawks Eye First Win of the Season at Niagara County

JAMESTOWN - The Jamestown Community College men's basketball team will look to get their first win of the season as they travel to Niagara County Community College to open up region action tomorrow evening, March, 3rd.

 

They Jayhawks (0-1) are coming off a narrow 88-83 defeat this past Saturday against Lackawanna College. JCC was led offensively by redshirt sophomore guard Isaac Allen (Houston TX/Texas Connection Academy) with 28 points with sophomore guard Henry Brown, Jr. (Bushill, PA/ East Stroudsburg HS North) with 18 points. Sophomore forward Jacob Hougan (Chardon, OH/Chardon HS) chipped in 13 points on the evening. 

 

Sophomore guard Kyle Butler (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool HS) facilitated the offense for the Jayhawks, dishing out 14 assists, a new career-high.

 

Brown, Jr. led JCC on the glass, grabbing six boards (3 offense, 3 defense) with Hougan adding five boards (1 offense, 4 defense).

 

The Thunderwolves (1-0) are coming off an, 85-59 win over Lackawanna College this past weekend. NCCC was led by Kailee White with 23 points with Justin Hendricks adding 14 points. Naz'ea Fowlks chipped in 11 points off the bench. LaMarqus Merchant, Jr. led the Thunderwolves on the glass, grabbing six boards (1 offense, 5 defense).

 

Tip is set for tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.
