Jayhawks Ladies Hit the Road for First Time

JAMESTOWN, NY - The JCC women's basketball team (1-0) tries to keep the winning ways going as they hit the road for a pair of Region 3 games this weekend. (women's schedule) Jamestown will be at Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Saturday at 1:00. They then drive over to Jefferson Community College for a showdown with the Cannoneers on Sunday at noon.

JCC's game at the Generals will be their first game of the season. As for the Cannoneers, they will also open their regular season with the Jayhawks in town. These two programs plan an instant classic at Jefferson last season, with the Jayhawks coming out of time 73-70.

If JCC is going to come home with a pair of wins, look for Coach Dave Turnbull to lean on his early scoring leaders freshman Keturah Stewart (Bethlehem, PA / Freedom HS), who scored 27 in the opening win, and sophomore forward Grace Lundmark (Falconer, NY / Falconer HS), who added 20.
