Jayhawks' Women's Swimming and Diving Team Looks to Clinch WNYAC

JAMESTOWN, NY - The Jamestown Community College women's swimming and diving team can clinch the Western New York Athletic Conference (WNYAC) championship with a win at Genesee Community College (GCC) on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.

JCC's ladies enter the WNYAC meet at GCC with a perfect 6-0 record in their conference meets. Another strong showing locks up the crown.

The Jayhawks have been dominant this season, with diver Ashlynn Swan and swimmer Madison Kramer each winning multiple Region 3 Athlete of the Week awards.

Their teammate Hayley Dawson also earned a Region 3 Athlete of the Week award this season. The five recognitions are more than any other team in Region 3.

The rest of the squad, Stacey Blacker, Ella Fosberg, Anna Jones, Shaylyn Owens, Lindsey Spitz, and Paiden Wittmeyer, all had impressive performances this season with wins in individual or team competitions.

After they visit GCC, the women and men are back in the pool on Thursday, February 1st, when they travel down Route 60 to take on Fredonia State at 5:00 PM.
