Jayhawks Post Best Swims Of The Season At Cortland Snowflurries Invitational

CORTLAND – Competing in the SUNY Cortland Snowflurries Invitational, the Jamestown Community College women's swimming team posted some of the best swims of the season thus far.

 

Day One

Jenna Fiebiger (Johannesburg, Gautneg, South Africa/Fourways HS) posted a personal best in the 200 yard butterfly, finishing with a time of 2:55.00. Madison Kramer (Falconer, NY/Falconer HS) and Hannah Eckert (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) also swam personal bests in the 100 yard backstroke. Kramer posted a time of 1:02.89 with Eckert finishing with a time of 1:11.91.

 

Day Two

Kramer continued her strong performance on day two, posting a personal best in 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.96. Eckert continued to improve on her times as well, swimming a personal best of 2:22.05 in the 200 yard freestyle while Stacey Blackler (Johannesburg, Gautneg, South Africa/Edenvale HS) also posted a personal best in the event with a time of 2:23.45.

 

Later that day in the third session, Kramer set a new record in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.30 to finish second in the event.

 

Genevieve Smith saw improvements in her times as well, posting a best time of 1:22.88 in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in the pool on Wednesday, December 14th, as the travel to Genesee Community College for their second WNYAC Meet of the season starting at 6 p.m.
