Jayhawks Secure Two Wins In Home WNYAC Meet

JAMESTOWN – In their first WNYAC Meet of the season, the Jamestown Community College women's swimming & diving team picked up a pair of wins Wednesday evening at the Physical Education Complex.

 

The Jayhawks (2-0) took down Monroe Community College by a score of 94-74 and got the win over Erie Community College by a score of 94-7.

 

Madison Kramer (Falconer, NY/Falconer HS) had another outstanding performance in the pool, picking up three wins on the night. In Kramer's first event, she finished the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:05.25. In her next event, Kramer finished with a time of 1:08.52 in the 100 yard butterfly. In her final event, Kramer swam an impressive time of 5:50.55 in the 500 yard freestyle.

 

Jenna Fiebiger (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Fourways HS) continues the strong start to her sophomore season, placing first in a pair of events. Fiebiger swam a time of 2:40.17 in the 200 yard IM, a new personal best. Fiebiger also swam a personal best in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:14.16.

 

Stacey Blackler (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Edenvale HS) also had a strong showing in the pool, finishing second in the 50 yard freestyle (29.86) and 100 yard IM (1:14.31). Blackler also posted a personal best in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:05.03.

 

Hannah Eckert (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) made her debut in the pool, picking up a pair of second-place finishes. Eckert swam a time of 1:02.94 in the 100 yard freestyle and a time of 1:16.84 in the 100 yard backstroke.

 

Kylee Hennessy (Warren, PA/Warren Area HS) picked up a second-place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke, swimming a time of 1:32.62 which is a personal best. Hennessy also swam a personal best in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 31.20.

 

Jade Vidas (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Parktown HS for Girls) was also a key contributor, placing second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:44.98.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in the pool on December 2-3 when they head east for the Cortland State Invitational.
