Many Jayhawks Shoot Best Scores Of The Season At Cannoneer Invitational

WATERTOWN - Heading up north, the Jamestown Community College golf team finished tied for fourth at the Cannoneer Invitational held at the Highland Golf Club Friday afternoon.

 

As a team, the Jayhawks finished with a combined score of 312, tying Jefferson Community College

 

Anthony Gullo (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown HS) had a strong round, shooting a 75 to tie for ninth place. Austyn Cummings (Warren, PA/Warren Area HS) shot his best round of the year to date, handing in a score of 76 to tie for 13th place.

 

Traden Gray (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) finished tied for 18th place, shooting an 80 on the afternoon. Brady Fye (Lakewoood, NY/Southwestern High) also had his best round of the year, shooting an 81 to tie for 21st.

 

Athansios Bakas (North Riding, Johannesburg, South Africa/The King's College and Preparatory School) had his best round of the year as well, shooting an 86 to tie for 36th. Noah Adams (Mayville, NY/Chautauqua Lake Central) was close behind, shooting an 88 to tie for 39th. Maxim Johnson (Johannesburg, South Africa/King Edwards VII School) rounded out the golfers with a score of 100 to finish tied for 46th.

 

The Jayhawks will be on a brief break as they prepare for the 2023 NJCAA Region 3 Golf Championships with day one starting on May 15th. Action will take place at Glen Oaks Golf Course.
