Men's Golf Has Another Strong Outing At Lazers Invitational

MARCELLUS - Looking to continue their momentum, the Jamestown Community College men's golf team placed third at the Lazer Invitational hosted by Onondaga Community College.

 

Playing at the par 72 Sunset Ridge Golf Club, the Jayhawks posted a team score of 317. Anthony Gullo (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown HS) continues his hot start to the season, shooting a 71 which was good enough to tie him for first place. After going to the cards, Sean Barrett of Niagara County Community College took home medalist honors to edge out Gullo.

 

Traden Gray (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) shot a 79, tying him for 13th place. Brady Fye (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern High) had a strong showing as well, scoring an 82 to tie for 18th.

 

Austyn Cummings (Warren, PA/Warren Area HS) rebounded after a tough first outing, shooting an 85 which tied him for 25th. Teammate Athanasios Bakas (North Riding, Johannesburg, South Africa/The King's College and Preparatory School) also handed in a scorecard of 85. Noah Adams (Mayville, NY/Chautauqua Lake Central) was close behind his teammates, scoring an 86 to tie for 28th.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action next Friday, April 21st, at Mohawk Valley Community College.
