Jordan Lymberis is a freshman member of the Jayhawk men's soccer team. He is from Sydney, Australia and was on the soccer and track and field teams there in high school. He was recognized as First Grade Soccer and the team was an undefeated finalist his senior year. They were also CCC Knockout Quater finalists and won NSW State titles. Manchester United is his favorite soccer team. Lymberis is an Individual Studies major at JCC. After graduation he plans to continue his education either in the U.S. or back in Australia, with eventual plans to work as a physiotherapist for a sports team.

Spotlight Athlete of the Week

Jordan Lymberis is the Jayhawks Athlete of the Week for September 22nd, 2016.  He is a freshman from Sydney, Australia, and plays on the men's soccer team.  His major is in Individual Studies.

The opportunity to receive a quality education and the ability to compete at a high level of athletics both played a major part in attracting Lymberis to JCC. He says he really enjoys traveling on the road to away games. Lymberis gets to experience more of the United States and share his same passion for competition with new people.

"I have an extraordinary opportunity and I plan on enjoying every moment of it." says, Lymberis.

In the immediate future, Lymberis would like to continue playing soccer at the next level, but also has aspirations becoming a Physical Therapist.

To any aspiring athletes in any sport, he says, "Time management is a critical part of the student-athlete.  You need to find that balance between your school work and achieving success on the golf course."
