Jayhawks Will Look To Make A Splash At Regionals

JAMESTOWN – Heading into postseason, the Jamestown Community College men's swimming & diving team will look to make some noise at the NJCAA Region 3 Swimming & Diving Championships.

The Jayhawks have posted a meet record of 2-5 on the season and placed second at the Jamestown Community College Invitational.

JCC is led by their lone sophomore Joseph Keyser (Mayville, NY/Chautauqua Lake Central) who has been vital to their success in the second part of the season. Freshman Maxim Johnson has been a difference maker, earning NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week twice along with breaking four school records.

Joining Keyser and Johnson are freshman Josh Carr (Wigan, England/Standish Community HS), Gavin Roux (East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa/Selborne College), and Stephen Zentz. The three newcomers have been quality swimmers throughout the season, each holding their own while in the pool.

Competition will begin on Friday, February 10th, at 6 p.m. and will continue throughout the weekend with the final events taking place on Sunday, February 12th.
