Four Jayhawks Earn Men's All-WNYAC Soccer Accolades

JAMESTOWN, NY - The Jamestown Community College men's soccer team placed four student-athletes on the All-WNYAC team announced Friday. Freshman center midfielder David Luque (Seville, Spain / IES Juan Cuidad Duarte) netted 13 goals and six assists in 18 games for the Jayhawks. Freshman defensemen Siya Nyandeni (Ixopo, South Africa / Ixopo HS) and Sam Smith (London, England / Marcelona Sports Academy) appeared in 19 and 20 contests this season, respectively. They were the rocks in the back end of the Jayhawk lineup. Sophomore forward Alex Watt (Belfast, Northern Ireland) totaled six goals and six assists in 19 matches for the Jayhawks. Watt, a team captain, also became the program's all-time leading goal scorer and total points leader during the season. Jamestown finished this season by making a run to the Region 3 semifinals.
