Men's Soccer Earns First Win in 5-0 Shutout

JAMESTOWN - The men's soccer team claimed its first win over the year in decisive fashion with a 5-0 win over Broome Community College on Saturday. The Jayhawks jumped out early as Callum Featherstone (Hull, England / Barnsley College) scored 12 seconds into the contest. The lead got bigger late in the first half when Dom Malhomme put home a pass from Craig Mtheembu. That was our score at the break before JCC added three more in the second off the feet of James Cassidy (Glasgow, Scotland / Calderglen HS), Alex Watt (Belfast, Northern Ireland / Campbell College), and David Luque (Seville, Spain / IES Juan Cuidad Duart). Luque's seventh goal of the season has him tied for eighth in the nation in goals scored. The Jayhawks now get ready to visit Tomkins Cortland Community College on Wednesday.
