Jayhawks Host WNYAC Meet At Home

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Community College men's swimming & diving team took to the pool Wednesday evening, hosting the first WNYAC meet of the season against Monroe Community College and Erie Community College.

 

The Jayhawks (0-2) were led by sophomore Cole Carlson (Boonsboro, MD/ Southwestern High) who picked up a pair of second place finishes. Carlson swam a time of 2:07.04 in the 200 yard freestyle to go along with a time of 54.65 in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

Josh Carr (Wigan, England/Standish Community HS) made his debut in the pool, placing third in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 29.32. In his second event of the evening, Carr swam a time of 1:10.97 in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in the pool on December 2-3 when they head east for the Cortland State Invitational.
