Coach Ross Earns First Career Women's Soccer Victory
CANANDAIGUA, NY - It only took one game for new JCC Women's Soccer Coach Heather Ross to earn her first career victory with the Jayhawks, a 3-0 road win at Finger Lakes Community College.

The scoring started early with a nice tic-tac-toe set up for Sheala Barresi who buried the assist from Alexis Lundmark less than two minutes into the game for an early 1-0 advantage.  "If you score early you stay on top," said Coach Ross. "That is exactly what we did. We controlled the game for the first 39 minutes. Controlled the ball and created opportunities."

The next opportunity came in the 31st minute when Barresi was at it again with her second of the game to make it 2-0 for the Jayhawks as they went to the break.

That score held until five minutes left when Juliet Thuman broke through for her first of the  year to make things 3-0 for the visitors.

A good way to start the season for the Jayhawks. One Coach Ross looks to build on "We have a ton to work on, but we are on the right path. I am so proud of the women and what they accomplished today. On to the next."
