Jayhawks defense faces high scoring offense

The JCC Jayhawks Women's Soccer team (4-10) hosted the Kats of Erie Community College (12-1).  The Kats were winners of 7 in a row and looked to make 8 against the Jayhawks.  The Jayhawks kept up with the Kats for a while but then things broke loose as the Kats scored 2 goals in less than 4 minutes and added a third goal to take a 3-0 lead into the half.  The second half got off to a bad start for the Jayhawks as the Kats added two more goals in the first 4 minutes of play.  The Jayhawks would answer with an unassisted goal by #6 Courtney Hewes (Ashville), but the damage had already been done as the Kats would go on to defeat the Jayhawks 5-1.  The Jayhawks defense was led by #0 Rebecca Butcher (South Dayton) who had 7 saves while facing 12 shots on goal.
