Taylor Morrison is a freshman and plays on the soccer team for the Jayhawks at JCC. She was on the soccer, basketball, and track teams in high school and swerved as the captain of all three. She was named to the 1st Team All Star team for soccer and set her school's record for number of goals in a season at 26. Other recognition includes 2016 Finger Lakes Female Player of the Year, Dundee HS Female Athlete of the Year, team MVP, and All State Honorable Mention. Morrison is studying Business and plans to continue this at the University of Tampa following graduation. Soccer player Abby Wambach is her favorite athlete.

 

Spot Light Athlete of the Week

Tayler Morrison is the Jayhawks' Spot Light Athlete for the week of September 12th. Tayler is a freshman from Dundee, NY, where she attended Dundee Central School. Her field of study currently Business.

 

The opportunity to play soccer at the collegiate level, along with her pursuit of a Business Degree, really attracted Tayler to Jamestown Community College. "Coach Shelters inspired me to continue my athletic career", said Morrison.

 

In the future, Morrison plans on finishing her undergraduate studies from the University of Tampa and ultimately majoring in Marketing while having a minor in International Business.

 

When asked if she has any advice for aspiring athletes, Morrison stated, "Always set your goals high and don't be afraid to push yourself to achieve those goals."
