JCC Opens Season with a Split at CCAC

RUSSELLTON, PA - The Jamestown Community College baseball team opened its season on the road over the weekend with a doubleheader at Community College of Allegheny County.

The Jayhawks took the opener 8-4 behind the bat of sophomore Hayden Hoag, who went four-for-four from the plate with three RBI. Four other Jayhawks had an RBI in the victory. Dylan Kinney took home the win on the bump, going 2.1 innings, allowing a pair of hits and no runs.

Jamestown struggled a bit in game two, allowing six runs on seven hits in a 6-2 loss. De'Sean Rogers and Harley Hoag each had a pair of hits and a run in the loss.

JCC has a couple of weeks off before they are back on the diamond when they visit Suffolk Community College for twin bills on Saturday and Sunday, March 9th and 10th. The Jayhawks open their home schedule against Erie Community College on Saturday, March 23rd, at noon.
