JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College's (JCC) Assistant Athletic Director Ashley Lund was recently presented the Zonta Club of Jamestown Women in Leadership Award during a celebration held at the Chautauqua Harbor Hotel.

The award recognizes women in the Jamestown area who demonstrate excellence in leadership, a commitment to service, and a dedication to empowering others, particularly women and girls.

Lund, a JCC graduate, was named interim assistant athletic director in September 2018 and was officially given the title in March 2019.

Helping thousands of Jayhawk student-athletes in her current role is just the tip of the iceberg for what Ashley means to JCC. Not only did she play volleyball, basketball, and softball for the green and gold, but Coach Lund is an eight-time WNYAC Coach of the Year, three-time Regional Coach of the Year, and District Coach of the Year four times on the volleyball court.

Lund is also a professor at Jamestown and part of numerous boards across JCC's campus.
