Jayhawks Have A Solid Meet To Close Out The Semester

BATAVIA – In their final meet of the semester, the Jamestown Community College women's swimming & diving team came away with a 2-0-1 record Wednesday evening.

 

The Jayhawks (5-0-1) defeated Erie Community College 78-2, defeated Genesee Community College 78-60, and tied Monroe Community College 78-78.

 

Madison Kramer (Falconer, NY/Falconer HS) set a new record in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:06.20 while finishing first in the event. Kramer also placed first in the 200 yard backstroke (2:21.82) and in the 200 yard freestyle (2:03.85).

 

Hannah Eckert (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg) placed first in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 34.15. Eckert also placed second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:40.42.

 

Jenna Fiebiger (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Fourways HS) had  a trio of second places finishes to help the Jayhawk effort. Fiebiger posted a personal bests in the 500 yard freestyle (6:23.92) and in the 50 yard butterfly (29.41).

 

Stacey Blackler (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Edenvale HS) finished second in the 50 yard freestyle, posting a personal best of 29.67.

 

Kylee Hennessy (Warren, PA/Warren Area HS) had a solid day personally, posted best times in the 200 yard breaststroke (3:18.20) and in the 50 yard breaststroke (40.77).

 

Jade Vidas (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/Parktown HS for Girls) posted a personal best in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 39.59.

 

The Jayhawks will be back in action on January 14th as they host the JCC Invitational with a 1 p.m. start.
