Jayhawks Hire Greg Vorse as New Sports Information Director

Jayhawk Nation,

Please welcome our new Sports Information Director, Greg Vorse.

Greg joins us after 18 years as an award-winning television sports reporter/anchor. 13 of those years in Buffalo with Spectrum News. Prior to coming to Western New York, Greg was a sports reporter in Erie, PA. He grew up just outside of Erie in Lake City, PA where he attened Girard High School.

He met his wife Martha while attending Thiel College where they graduated in 2006. Greg and Martha have two children (Eliza and Keller). The Vorse family loves dogs, especially bully-breed rescues, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, visiting new locations across the globe, and, of course, being the newest members of Jayhawk Nation.

"We're excited to have Greg join the Jayhawks. His expertise in athletics, communications, and journalism will be a valuable asset for JCC." - George Sisson, JCC Athletic Director.

Greg hit the ground running on August 28th.

"Jamestown has had a special place in my heart since I moved here in 2008. I love it so much that we decided I'd commute to Buffalo and back for over a decade rather than move north. The SID position at JCC fulfills many of my passions that I always call the three Fs 'faith, family, and football' football represents all athletics. I look forward to shining a light on Jayahwks' athletics and helping the student-athletes any way I can." - Greg Vorse, JCC Sports Information Director.
