Jayhawks Men's Soccer vs. SUNY Delhi

The Jamestown Community College Jayhawks men's soccer team (7-11-1, NJCAA Div. III) traveled to face off against the Broncos of SUNY Delhi (10-6, NJCAA Div. III) for regional playoff action. Coming in as the #11 seed, the Jayhawks played the role of underdog going against the #6 seed Broncos. The Jayhawk offense got on the board first with an unassisted goal by #9 Mathew Born (Randolph), which gave the Jayhawks a 1-0 lead going into the second half. The Jayhawk offense struck again in the second half on a goal by #14 Nico Buringrud (California), assisted by #1 Josh Anderson (Jamestown). Scoring on 2 of their 5 shots on goal, and with the help of a dominant Jayhawk defense that included 5 saves by #25 Brenton Walker (Australia), the Jayhawks went unbeaten for the fourth game in the row, shutting out the Broncos 2-0 and advanced to the next round of the regionals.
