JCC Falls to Alfred State in Home Match

JAMESTOWN, NY - Six forfeits were too many for Jamestown Community College to overcome in dual with Alfred State as the Jayhawks lost 57-0.

The Jayhawks only had four wrestlers who were fit to compete against a very strong Alfred State team. Ryan Parton (Macedon, NY / Penfield High School) at 141, Nicholas Ewan (Jamestown, NY / Jamestown, HS) at 149, and Dakota Planty (Brocton, NY / Brocton Central School) at 157 all suffered pins.

In the 184-pound contest, JCC's Kyle Keefe (Falconer, NY / Falconer, HS) lost a lead late as he fell 6-5.

The two teams then competed in four exhibition matches to round out the afternoon.

Parton, Ewans, and Planty also dropped those matches by pin.

Keefe was able to secure a tech fall win, going up 19-3 to get the victory.

JCC is off for a break until they return to the mats at Pitt Bradford on Tuesday, January 9th, at 7:00 PM.
