Jayhawks Fall To St. John Fisher In Season Finale

PITTSFORD - In their final regular season dual of the season, the Jamestown Community College wrestling team fell to St. John Fisher University by a score of 33-18 Thursday evening. 

 

The Jayhawks (5-3) started out with De'Aonte Hutchinson (Baltimore, MD/Edgewood HS) getting the 6-5 decision win over Carl Santariello. Brendon Ramsey (Panama, NY/Panama HS) continued to roll in the 133 pound weight class, getting the fall over Derek Bernardino in 1:42 to put JCC up 9-0.

 

The next six bouts went in favor of the Cardinals where they won five of them via forfeit.

 

Brock Johnson (Falconer, NY/Falconer HS) got the Jayhawks back in the win column, getting the 10-4 decision win over Richard Hess. Ross Abram (Eden, NY/Eden Central) rounded out the evening, getting the fall over Luke Cawley in 1:59 in the heavyweight class.

 

JCC will be back in action on Saturday, February 19th, as they travel to the NJCAA Northeast Districts held at Nassau Community College.
