Jayhawks' Men's Basketball Visited Local BOCES Students on Monday

ASHVILLE, NY - The Jamestown Community College men's basketball team made the trip to the local Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) school in Ashville, NY, for an event the Jayhawks student-athletes and BOCES students won't soon forget.

"The opportunity to have my student-athletes work with the students at BOCES is something we look forward to each season. It's a chance for all involved to come together, learn together, and grow together. This gathering is something we've done for a few years now and I hope it contineus for many more years to come," said Jayhawks' head coach Xavier Churnac.

"It was a memorable opportunity for us as a basketball program to get to pass on something we love to kids who look up to our players. I believe every Jayhawk enjoyed their time and was able to take something from this experience," added Jayhawks' assistant coach Donathan Daniels.

That experience included getting to demonatrate the game of basketball to nearly sixty students as well as fielding questions from the kids and their teachers.

JCC is back on the court this Friday, January 12th, when they host St. John Fisher inside the PHED Complex.

That game will be streamed out our YouTube Channel.
