JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College men's basketball finished the Jim Riggs Classic by giving the home crowd a show in their 76-59 win over Butler County Community College on Sunday.

The Jayhawks jumped on the Pioneers early, building a 15-6 advantage that was capped by an Iverson Plaza (Brooklyn, NY / Trinity Pawling School) layup. The Brooklyn native finished with six points on the day.

From there, the offensive onslaught continued for JCC, building a 23-9 lead thanks to the work of Jean Saint-Fort (Boynton Beach, FL / Boynton Beach Community HS), who scored six of his nine during that stretch.

Jamestown would see the lead swell to 19 by the break, with Jalyn Moorehead (Rochester, NY / Southerland HS) doing a lot of the damage near the end of the half. He finished with 16 on the night.

The second half started with an emphatic Aubrey Nicholson (Brooklyn, NY / Boys and Girls HS) dunk to see the separation grow to 23 points at 47-23. Nicholson, the JCC athlete of the week for week 12, had a game-high 19 points. He added 11 rebounds for another double-double from the freshman.

Jamestown's lead was cut to just eight at one point in the second half when Bulter's Rocco Spadafora knocked down three of his team-high 18, but Jamestown had an answer when Matthew Bohurjak (Cleveland, OH / Lakewood HS) gave them a shot of life with a corner three.

After that, the Jayhawks built the lead back to 22-points. With that advantage, Coach Xavier Churnac cleared the bench as JCC cruised to a 76-59 victory.

The win moved Jamestown's record to 3-7 on the season.

JCC is back on the court on Wednesday, December 6th, when they visit Villa Maria at 7:00 pm.
