JCC Golf Shows Improvement During Busy Break

BUTLER, PA - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) men's golf team started out a busy three days with their best showing of the year at Butler Golf Club against Butler County Community College. Jamestown lost the match 394-323 but shaved nearly 40 strokes off of their team total from the previous week. JCC was led by sophomore Dan Towell, who carded an 87, while teammates Sam Little (100), Cole Johnson (103), and Zach Johnson (104) had some of their best shooting of the young season.

The Jayhawks then made the long Friday evening drive from southwest Pennsylvania to Hudson Valley Community College, where they played a regional event on Saturday. JCC shot a 424 as a squad, with Little leading the way with another 100 round. Jamestown finished eighth out of nine for the invite.

On Saturday, the birds were at SUNY Adirondack for their invite. Jamestown again came in eighth, carding another 424. Towell was back on top of the JCC scoring, shooting a 95 for the event.

The Jayhawks have a few days off before hosting a Region 3 event at Chautauqua Golf Club on Friday, April 25th.
