ONEIDA - In their first match since a brief hiatus, the Jamestown Community College golf team competed at the Mohawk Valley CC Invitational Friday, competing at the Oneida Community Golf Club.
The Jayhawks, as a team, finished sixth out of seven teams with a combined score of 393 on the par 72 course.
Traden Gray (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) paced JCC, shooting an 85 which put him in eighth place of the day. Noah Adams (Mayville, NY/Chautauqua Lake Central) finished second-highest on the team, shooting a 101 which put him tied for 27th.
Connor Hogg (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/King Edwards VII School) made his collegiate debut, shooting a 102 which tied him for 29th. Kyle Smallback (Randolph, NY/Randolph HS) wasn't far behind, finishing 33rd with a score of 105.
Josh Brown (Randolph, NY/Randolph HS) and Trevor Harrington (Arcade, NY/Pioneer HS) finished 34th and 35th respectively, shooting a 111 and 117. Keagan Hogg (Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa/ King Edwards VII School) rounded out the Jayhawk competitors, shooting a 148.
The Jayhawks will be back in action tomorrow, April 23rd, as they compete in the Region 3 Invitational played at the McConnellsville Country Club.
