Jayhawks In Fifth After Day One Of Regionals

EAST AMHERST – After day one of the 2023 NJCAA Region 3 Golf Championships at Glen Oaks Golf Club, the Jamestown Community College men's golf team currently sits in fifth place with a team score of 337.

The Jayhawks are one stroke behind Onondaga Community College and five strokes behind Hudson Valley Community College.

"We battled some winds towards the end of the day," said head coach George Sisson. "I believe a lot of the other teams ahead of us have played their best golf while we have just scratched the surface. Our guys just have to take it one hole at a time. Luckily, we still have 18 more holes to play."

The trio of Anthony Gullo (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown HS), Traden Gray (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS), and Brady Fye (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern High) all turned in scorecards of identical scores of 81, sitting tied for eighth place.
