Individuals Shoot Best Rounds As Jayhawks Place Third At Adirondack Invitational

QUEENSBURY – In the midst of their three-day golf outing, the Jamestown Community College traveled to Hiland Park Golf Club to compete in the SUNY Adirondack Golf Invitational Saturday afternoon.

 

As a team, the Jayhawks put together a score of 331, placing them in third in the team standings. Traden Gray (Frewsburg, NY/Frewsburg HS) turned in the highest scorecard for JCC, finishing with a round score of 80 to place him in 10th for the day. Noah Adams (Mayville, NY/Chautauqua Lake Central) turned in his highest score thus far in the season, tying for 14th with a score of 83.

 

Athanasios Bakas (North Riding, Johannesburg, South Africa/The King's College and Preparatory School) also turned in his best round of the early season, finishing with a score of 84 tying him for 16th place. Anthony Gullo (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown HS) also finished with a score of 84. Austyn Cummings (Warren, PA/Warren Area HS) was a stroke off his teammates, having a score of 85 to finish 21st.

 

Maxim Johnson (Johannesburg, South/King Edwards VII School) turned in his best scorecard of the day as well, shooting an 89 to finish tied for 30th. Brady Fye (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern High) rounded out the Jayhawk golfers, finishing with a score of 94 to tie for 44th.

 

JCC will be back in action tomorrow, April 23rd, as they play at Colonie Golf & Country Club in an invitational hosted by Hudson Valley Community College at 10 a.m.
