Caskey named to the NJCAA DIII All-America First Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Community College sophomore volleyball outside hitter Jenna Caskey was named to the NJCAA DIII All-America First Team, announced by the national office.

Caskey, a Sinclairville native, has capped off a stellar career as a Jayhawk, adding to the list of achievements she has already received throughout the season.

Caskey had a great sophomore season for the Jayhawks, helping the team to a 30-7 record and reaching the national NJCAA championships for the team?s third year in a row. On the year, Caskey had 434 kills with 3.62 kills preset, both of which were team highs. Her 434 kills put her sixth in the nation at the DIII level. Caskey also led the team in service aces with 93 which was good for second in the nation.

On the defensive side of the ball, Caskey tallied 432 digs on the year which was second on the team. She also had 39 total blocks, which was good for fourth on the team.

Caskey played an important role for the Jayhawks all season, helping them rank in the top 10 in seven statistical categories in the country.

Becoming an All-American is the latest accolade Caskey received this season. She was also named to the All-WNYAC team, Region III First Team, and 2019 NJCAA DIII Volleyball Championships All-Tournament Team and as All-WNYAC Player of the Year, Region III Player of the Year, and Region III Tournament Most Valuable Player.
