Jayhawks hold strong at No. 8 in latest rankings

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Jamestown Community College volleyball team remains at No. 8 in the latest NJCAA Division III polls.

The Jayhawks (24-5, 6-1 WNYAC) are coming off a 2-1 week where they defeated Erie Community College twice and falling to Genesee Community College. JCC went a combined 5-1 in sets against the Kats, including a 2-0 win over ECC in the Western New York Athletic Conference Tournament.

JCC was defeated by GCC in the second round of the WNYAC, losing 2-0. JCC was able to defeat the Cougars twice in the regular season, going 6-0 in sets against them.

The Jayhawks will next be in action this Saturday, November 2nd, in NJCAA Region III regional action where JCC is the No. 1 seed. JCC will play against the winner of Herkimer College and Genesee Community College. Regionals will be held at Niagara County Community College.
