Jayhawks Struggle at the Plate Against Jefferson

WATERTOWN, NY - The hitting slump continued for Jamestown Community College (JCC) as they traveled to Jefferson Community College on Sunday. The Jayhawks lost the pair of games 11-0 and 24-0. JCC fell behind early in game one, giving up two runs in the bottom of the 1st. The deficit grew to 6-0 in the 2nd due to some untimely errors by Jamestown. In all, the ladies committed eight errors leading to eight of Jefferson's runs.

In game two, the errors once again piled up quickly, with 17 miscues assisting Jefferson to their 24 runs. Jamestown fell behind early, allowing 14 runs in the top half of the first inning before falling 24-0. Angelique Palacio batted .500 for the game as the lone Jayhawks to get a hit.

JCC looks to bounce back on Tuesday when they travel up I-90 to take on Erie Community College in more Region 3 action.
