Jamestown CC Golfers Finish Fifth

CORTLAND — Jamestown Community College finished in a tie for fifth at the Tompkins Cortland CC Panther Invitational on Sunday at Elm Tree Golf Club.

The Jayhawks finished with a 324, 21 strokes behind champion Adirondack CC.

Jamestown CC's Cody Latimer finished third overall with a 72, two strokes behind winner Connor Marvin of Adirondack CC and one stroke back of second-place Dante Migliore of Mohawk Valley CC.

Collyn Shippos of Tompkins Cortland CC was fourth with a 74 while Jefferson CC's Dylan Kernehan, Niagara County CC's Shane Helbig and Adirondack CC's Devlo Caples all tied for fifth with 75s.

Anthony Miller shot the Jayhawks' second-best score with an 80 while Alec Ambrose fired an 84 and Evan Grey had an 88. David Lobb's 92 and Dylan LaBarbera's 96 rounded out Jamestown CC's scores.

On the women's side, Jamestown CC's Marina Kessler shot a 92, five shots back of Onondaga CC's Alessa Main.

The Jayhawks' Cole Munson also fired a 90 to count toward Region 3 qualifying.
