Beeman Resigns As Cross Country Coach

JAMESTOWN - After two years of coaching the men's & women's cross country team, head coach Sydney Beeman will be stepping down, effective immediately.

"I would like to thank coach Beeman for her time and effort in leading our cross country program," said Director of Athletics George Sisson. "It's not easy to start a new program and she took it head on."

Beeman, who was the school's first head coach in program history, laid the foundation for the program to keep moving in the right direction.

Beeman started during the 2021 season where she coached Emma Redlecki (Clymer, NY/Clymer Central) to the NJCAA Region 3 All-Region Team.

During Beeman's second season with the Jayhawks, she coached Joey Pillittieri (Falconer, NY/Falconer HS) to a second-place finish at the 13th Annual Meghan Memorial hosted by Hilbert College.

"I wish nothing but best for Sydney in her future endeavors," Sisson added. "She has laid the foundation for the program and I am excited to see where we are headed."
