JCC Women's Soccer Season Ends with Loss to Genesee

JAMESTOWN, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) women's soccer season came to a close with the 4-0 loss to Genesee Community College.

The loss knocked JCC to 2-9-1 overall and 2-7-1 in league play, with only eight teams accepting bids to the postseason; this ended the Jayhawks 2024 campaign.

Jamestown saw a pair of freshmen lead the way in the box score, with Amara Pacheco leading the team in goals at 11 and Teagan Kosinski finishing with six.

As for assists, it was sophomore Grace Gaurino at the top of the charts with her seven helpers. Grace also scored three goals on the year, good enough for third on the team. Fellow sophomores Juliet Thuman (2) and Haleigha Hardy (1) were fourth and fifth on the team in goals, respectively.

First-year goalie Morgan Maloney played her tail off in net, starting 12 games and allowing 61 goals on 172 shots against.

The Jayhawks featured seven freshmen, giving head coach Heather Ross a nice building block for the 2025-26 season.
