JCC Floods Finger Lakes for 4-0 Win

JAMESTOWN, NY - It was sophomore day for the Jamstown Community College (JCC) women's soccer team, but a sophomore stole the show in the 4-0 win over Finger Lakes Community College.

Local product Amara Pacheco of Jamestown High School scored early and ofter, putting JCC up 1-0 just nine minutes into the game on a prestine helper from sophomore Grace Gaurino.

The score stalled at 1-0 all the way to the break before the Jayhawks poured it on in the second stanza.

Eight minutes into the half, Pacheo found the back of the net again on another feed from Gaurino to double the advantage to 2-0.

Later in the half, Gaurino put the assists to the side to finish her own shot for a 3-0 JCC edge.

In the 84th minute, Pacheco once again found space behind the goalie for a hat trick on the afternoon. That's her second hat trick of the season.

The win improves JCC to 2-8 on the year.

It's a quick turnaround for the Jayhawks with Corning Community College in town on Monday.
