JAMESTOWN, NY - It was a tough start to Sunday after noon for Jamestown Community College's (JCC) women's soccer team, who saw Lorain CC score the first three goals of the game to build an insurmountable lead for the Jayhawks.
JCC would get on the board in the 37th minutes on a beautiful tic-tac-toe set from Haleigha Hardy to Arryanna Bardo and finished by freshman Amara Pacheco, who now has a team-leading seven goals.
Jamestown's deficit grew to 8-1 with just six seconds left on the clock when sophomore Grace Gaurino put a smile on everyone's faces as they went home when she cashed in her second career goal to make it 8-2.
The Jayhawks look to bounce back on Wednesday when they visit SUNY Niagara at 4:00.
