Berens Named Region 3 Player of the Year; Truitt Earns Second Team Honors

JAMESTOWN, NY - Jamestown Community College's Jennica Berens has been named the Region 3 Women's Basketball Player of the Year for 2024-25 and has received an All-Region First Team designation. Fellow guard Myla Truitt earned a spot on the All-Region Second Team. 

Berens led the Jayhawks with 11.5 points and six assists per game. She also finished the season averaging 6.7 rebounds. The sophomore also recorded a triple-double in JCC's home win over Erie Community College.

Truitt started all 22 games for the Jayhawks. The sophomore averaged over 10 points per game, with four rebounds, three assists, and one steal per contest.
