Jayhawks' Season Comes to an End in Regional Finals

SANBORN, NY - The Jamestown Community College women's basketball team's season concluded in the Region 3 Divison 2 championship, 102-65, to Suny Niagara on Sunday afternoon.

JCC was led by Keturah Stewart, who scored 20 points and added five rebounds and four steals.

Fellow freshman Myla Truitt had 20 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore Chyann Kelly dropped 16.

The loss ends the Jayhawks season with an even 13-13 record.

The squad has some big holes to fill heading into 2024-25, with Grace Lundmark, Hayley Dawson, and Angelique Palacio joining Kelly as sophomores.

They return Stewart and Truitt, who were first and fourth on the team in scoring, respectively.

The ladies are expected to return five freshmen, who each averaged over ten minutes per game.
