Jayhawks Back on the Road Tuesday Evening

JAMESTOWN – After a tough road loss against No. 20 Lackawanna College this past weekend, the Jamestown Community College women's basketball team will look to get back into the win column tomorrow evening against Bryant & Stratton Rochester.

 

The Jayhawks (1-2) are coming off a 95-62 loss against Lackawanna College. In the game, Nadara Odell (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk HS) lead the way with a her second double-double of the season, scoring 20points while grabbing a career-high 13 rebounds (7 offense, 6 defense).  Kymi Nance (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk HS) added 15 points while Hannah Hick (Cleveland, OH/Cleveland Heights) scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds (1 offense, 10 defense).

 

On the season, JCC averaging 83 points per game while shooting 33.2 percent from the floor. The Jayhawks have four players averaging double-digit points per game with Odell leading the way with 25.7 points. Nance is second on the team with 13.7 points per game. Jessica Beehler (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk HS) has facilitated the offense for the Jayhawks, dishing out 10 assists per game.

 

On the glass, Hicks has been unstoppable with 16 rebounds per contest. Odell is almost averaging a double-double, securing 9.3 rebounds per game. Amari Carter (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk HS) has been great off the bench, averaging seven rebounds per game.

 

The Bobcats (4-3) are coming off a 65-58 loss against Bryant & Stratton Buffalo on Sunday, February 21st. Prior to that, the Bobcats were winners of four-straight games.

 

During their last game, the Bobcats were led by Kadijah Jones with 15 points. Keyanah Price had a game-high 15 rebounds (2 offense, 13 defense) while Dorian Sharp grabbed 11 boards (3 offense, 8 defense).

 

On the year, Bryant & Stratton Rochester is averaging 68 points per game while shooting 36.5 percent from the floor. The Bobcats also have four players averaging double-digits points with Sharp leading the way, netting 18.4 points per game. Jones is second on the team, averaging 15.8 points per game.

 

Sharp is also leading the team in rebounds per game, grabbing 11 per outing. Jones is second on the team, averaging 10.3 rebounds per game.
