JCC Drops 2-0 eSports Contest to Seward Community College

OLEAN, NY - The Jamestown Community College eSports team rallied late but dropped its Rainbow Six: Siege match against the Seward County Community College Saints 2-0. This was the first match with the starting roster since week one. The Jayhawks fall into a 1-0 series hole early but tried to stage a comeback in round two so they could force a decisive round three, but the rally fell short. Gabriel Hardwick led the team with 14 kills and fine assists. Captain Drake Kavanagh followed up with 13 kills and four assists. While Joshua David and Richard Riley also finished with double-digit kills.

Game two ended with the Jayhawks having 33 combined kills to the Saints' 38. The Jayhawks ended up losing seven rounds to three. "Unfortunately, some toss-up gunfights didn't go our way," said head coach James DiBlasi. He added: "In a game where the kills are so close, every gun battle counts, and we weren't able to get some of the wins we needed. Despite the large round differential, heading into match point, only two kills separated our teams from theirs. While we remained competitive and had a bit of a bounce back from last week in that regard, we have some things to work on before our next match,"

JCC is on spring break this week, so the team will play its next match remotely on Friday as they try to get back into the win column.
