Jayhawks Grounded by Genesee in Doubleheader

JAMESTOWN, NY - It was a tough day at the office for the Jamestown Community College (JCC) baseball team as they dropped both ends of a home doubleheader to Genesee Community College.

In game one, JCC lost 10-0, with most of the damage coming in the top of the 1st inning, where Genesee scored seven runs. The Jayhawks couldn't get anything going at the plate, mustering just four hits in the loss.

Game two saw another tough top of the 1st for Jamestown. Genesee scored eight in their half for an early lead in a 12-5 JCC loss. Tamias Ramsey and Alton Will led the Jayhawks at the plate, each knocking in an RBI.

The pair of defeats pushed JCC back to 11-21 on the year.

It'll be a very quick turnaround for the Jayhawks and Cougars, with GCC back in Jamestown for another doubleheader Monday morning. Genesee will be the home team on the scoreboard in this twin bill.
