Kinney, McCall Pitch Gems but JCC Falls in Doubleheader to Onondaga

SYRACUSE, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) baseball team suffered another pair of setbacks on Saturday, dropping game one to Onondaga Community College 2-0 and game two 3-2.

JCC was shut out in game one but did see Gabe Roth go 2-for-3 at the plate. Sophomore pitcher Dylan Kinney did his best to keep the Jayhawks in the game, allowing zero earned runs, but an error aided the Lazers in scoring. The loss moved Jamestown to 8-13 on the year.

In game two, JCC found themselves down 3-0 entering the seventh inning but mounted a comeback, scoring a pair of runs on RBI by Cadyn Wilson and Niko Bourdon to make it a 3-2 game. Kolden McCall stayed hot on the bump, allowing a pair of runs over 4.1 innings pitched. That setback saw Jamestown's overall record fall to 8-14.

The Jayhawks are scheduled to have a busy week again, with a road doubleheader on Tuesday at Erie Community College and then a pair of home twin bills with SUNY Niagara at JCC on Thursday and Tompkins Cortland Community College in town on Saturday.
