JCC's Bats Go Cold at #3 SUNY Niagara

NIAGARA FALLS, NY - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) baseball team headed to a frigid Niagara Falls on Sunday afternoon and came home with a pair of losses to the #3 team in the nation.

Jamestown was blanked 15-0 in game one. It was a pair of tough innings for the Jayhawks that did them in, allowing six runs in both the 2nd and 3rd frames. Captain Jax Arcuri was the leader at the plate, with a pair of hits.

JCC found some life in game two; after falling behind 3-0 through two innings, they were able to make things close in the 3rd with a pair of runs to see a 3-2 deficit. The RBI came from Arcuri and freshman Santino Musone. Unfortunately, things got away from the Jayhawks in the bottom half of the inning when Niagara scored five runs before going on to win 12-2.

Jamestown has a few days off before they return to the home diamond on Thursday, April 10th, to host Onondaga Community College for a doubleheader with the first pitch set for 2:00 PM.
