JCC Completes 4-Game Sweep of Corning

CORNING, NY - Jamestown Community College (JCC) baseball finished off a four-game sweep of Corning Community College on Tuesday with 12-1 and 9-5 wins.

Game one saw Josh Martos pitch a complete game, throwing five innings while allowing zero earned runs on three hits. At the plate, both captain Jax Arcuri and Santino Musone knocked in a pair of runs, Gabe Roth kept up his torrid pace with another RBI, and Kenneth Madrid, Mitchell McKinney, Yadiel Garcia, and Cadyn Wilson all added an RBI. 

It was the top of the lineup doing the damage in game two. Garcia and Roth both plated a pair. Madrid, Musone, McKinney, and Luke Larson all added a run. On the mound, hitters turned pitchers in Musone and Roth finished the seven innings, allowing a couple of runs. Musone went 5.1 innings, seeing two earned runs, with four strikeouts. Roth relieved him to toss 1.2 and earn the save.

The wins move JCC to 8-8 on the year. Jamestown opens league play on Sunday when they visit Erie Community College for a doubleheader that begins at 1:00 PM.
