Jayhawks Drop Heartbreaker to Hocking, Bounce Back in Game Two

NELSONVILLE, OH - The Jamestown Community College (JCC) baseball team suffered a heartbreaking loss in game one of their series at Hocking College, falling 3-2. They didn't let that loss linger as they bounced right back for an 8-4 win in game two of the series.

Jamestown squandered a beautiful performance from Dylan Kinney in game one, who tossed 6.2 innings with zero earned runs and eight strikeouts. Unfortantly, JCC allowed a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh to loss the game 3-2. Freshmen Santino Musone and Luke Larson each drove in a run in the early game.

JCC got off the snide quickly with a four-run victory later in the afternoon. Josh Marton threw a complete game, allowing four runs on five hits and four strikeouts. It was a trio of Jayhawks doing the damage at the dish. Musone drove in three runs; Mitchell McKinney added a pair of RBI, as did Gabe Roth.

The split puts Jamestown at 2-5 overall on the year.

They are right back at it against Hocking College bright and early Monday morning.
