Sophomores Kenny Nickson III (Erie, PA/Erie HS) and Riley Piazza (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown HS), along with freshman De’Sean Rogers (Winter Haven, FL/Winter Haven HS), earned Second Team All-WNYAC Team Honors.

Nate Johnson, Sophomore Shortstop/Pitcher – First Team All-WNYAC

Johnson had a standout sophomore season for the Jayhawks, leading the team in hits (46), stolen bases (31), and walks (19). Johnson finished second in batting average (.354) and on-base percentage (.452).

Johnson also rewrote the record book, finishing with 22 career doubles. In the game at Corning Community College where the records were broken, Johnson had three hits to go along with two stolen bases.

Johnson has had many great games throughout the season individually, but perhaps none better than a home game against Onondaga Community College where he went 3-for-3 at the plate and was a double shy of hitting for the cycle.

On the mound, Johnson made an appearance in three games where he struck out five batters.

Wyatt Hennessy, Sophomore Catcher – First Team All-WNYAC

Hennessy had a stellar sophomore season, batting .349 with a slugging percentage of .491. Hennessy was second on the team in doubles (10) and stolen bases (16).

Hennessy also rewrote the record book, finishing with eight career triples. Johnson also helped the team break a pair of team records, setting the mark for most hits in a game with 20 and most stolen bases in a game with 11. In the game at Corning Community College where the records were broken, Hennessy had a pair of hits including a double to go along with a pair of stolen bases.

Hennessy’s best game of the season came early on where he went four-for-five at the plate with a double, a home run, and five RBIs.

Timothy Johnson, Freshman Outfielder – Frist Team All-WNYAC

Johnson had an outstanding freshman season with the Jayhawks where he led the team in batting average (.360), slugging percentage (.592), RBIs (40), triples (3), and homeruns (5). Johnson was second on the team in hits with 45.

Johnson came up big often throughout the season but had his best performance in a doubleheader at Tompkins Cortland Community College where he went a combined six-for-eight with two homeruns and seven RBIs to help JCC sweep the season series against the Panthers.

Johnson has also found his way into the team’s record book where he is tied for seventh for triples in a season, tied for third in homeruns in a season, sixth in slugging percentage in a season, and RBIs in a season.

Kenny Nickson III, Sophomore First Baseman – Second Team All-WNYAC

Nickson III found a way to get on base at a high rate, leading the team in on-base percentage (.455) thanks in part to drawing 18 walks while also being hit-by-pitch 13 teams. Nickson III collected 30 hits on the season, including nine doubles, while batting .291.

Nickson III has also cracked his way into the top-10 in the record book as he is fifth in hit-by-pitch in a season with 13 and in a career with 17.
