Jayhawks Baseball Double Header vs Patrick Henry CC

The JCC Jayhawks men's baseball team (NJCAA Div II, 0-2) went on the road to play the Patriots of Patrick Henry Community College (NJCAA Div II, 2-0) in the Jayhawks season opener double header.  Pitchers Mike Wilcox, #9 Jeff Miller (Jamestown), and #25 Jeremy Cole (Sherman) split time on the mound for game one.  However, it was all Patriots as the Jayhawks gave up 17 runs and 10 hits while the Patriots shutout the Jayhawks offense completely.  They Jayhawks fared better in Game 2 where Pitchers Mike Williamson and #25 Jeremy Cole (Sherman) split time on the mound.  The Jayhawks offense showed some offensive output in the 2nd inning with a homerun by #15 Connor Fitzgerald (Ontario) and a hit by #5 Kyle Mayer (Mayville).  However that was the end of the Jayhawks offense for the day and the Patriots bats proved too strong for the Jayhawks pitching as they downed the Jayhawks 10-1.
